Methodology: data sources, categories and effective fee

How the numbers on this site are collected and computed.

Metrics snapshot as of 2026-10-24. Homepage facts last checked 2026-10-19.

Data sources

Builder metrics. Revenue, volume, users and new users come from the public flowscan builder leaderboard (its public builders metrics endpoint, no login). Snapshot time: 2026-10-24T05:17:30.032Z. Revenue means builder fees earned on Hyperliquid orders only; it is not an app's total revenue.

Named builders only. The leaderboard has 1,973 builder addresses; 122 carry a name and are tracked here. Addresses with no name are skipped.

Descriptions. Each app's description, venues and stated limits come from its homepage, checked on 2026-10-19. Where a homepage could not be opened or read, the entry says so and has no outbound link. We do not add features that the homepage does not state.

Hyperliquid fees. The perps fee tiers and HYPE staking discounts come from the Hyperliquid docs, snapshot 2026-10-20.

Merged rows

flowscan lists two builder addresses named Blockchain. They are shown as one row with their metrics added together (users may overlap). Two addresses labelled FOMO and fomo, and Okto and Okto2, are kept as separate rows because their relationship is not confirmed.

Categories

Each app has one category: trading terminals, Telegram bots, copy trading, mobile apps, AI trading or wallets. We assign it from the homepage description and flowscan's own classification. Apps that fit none of these (exchanges, data tools, prediction markets and similar) are in “Other” and appear only in the main table. A category with fewer than 3 apps is marked noindex and left out of the sitemap. The copy-trading category is a short list only, also noindex.

Inclusion rule

Every named builder on the flowscan builder leaderboard is listed in the main table. We do not hand-pick apps and we do not accept payment for placement. The table is sorted by 30-day builder revenue, which measures trading flow through an app and not its quality.

Comparison columns

Mobile app, Markets, Max leverage and Copy trading come only from the app's own homepage (or, for the mobile flag, flowscan's classification) as checked on 2026-10-19. Markets are grouped as crypto, stocks & indices, and commodities. Max leverage is shown only when the homepage states one. Where the homepage does not say, the cell reads “Not stated on homepage”; that is a gap in what the homepage tells us, not proof that the feature is missing. The effective builder fee column is explained below. Every app and category page shows the homepage check date with its URL, and the builder-metrics snapshot date with a link to the flowscan builder leaderboard.

Update cadence

The builder-metrics snapshot and the homepage checks are updated regularly. Each page shows a “Last updated” date, which is the date of the data snapshot it uses, and the same date is in the page's structured data as dateModified.

Effective builder fee

effective fee (bps) = builder revenue / builder volume × 10,000

We compute it for the last 30 days and for all time. When the volume in the period is 0 it is shown as “—”. This is an average realised rate across all users, markets and order types of the app. It is not the fee each user is charged, because rates can differ by user and market and not all volume necessarily carries a builder fee.

30-day trend

The change is (last 30 days − previous 30 days) / previous 30 days, for revenue, volume and new users. It is blank when the previous period is 0.

Which apps get a detail page

An app gets its own page only when it has a confirmed homepage URL and either all-time builder revenue of at least $500k or it is on our shortlist of widely used trading tools. Other apps appear only in the tables, so every page has real data behind it. Currently 45 of 121 apps have a page.

Corrections

If a figure or description looks wrong, compare it with the app's homepage and the flowscan leaderboard. Each refresh re-reads both, so stale or wrong entries are fixed in the next update. If it is still wrong, email [email protected]. Rankings reflect builder revenue, which measures trading flow through an app and not its quality.
